The Posi-Grip is a rubber sleeve bow grip covered in small dimples that create hand traction. We've found the small dimples on the Posi-Grip offer superior traction to other grips, such as the Shur-Grip. The Posi-Grip gives you positive palm placement, even when wet. The Posi-Grip is easy to install, dampens bow vibrations, and enhances grip and bow feel. Fits nearly all longbows and slim riser recurves, and works great on bows with take down hinges or bow sleeves. Made in the USA of high quality EPDM rubber, measures 4½" long (un-stretched). ...read more

These are great, just perfect and nice grip.
Only thing is a little tricky to get on. Otherwise just prefect.
Good product
Leather grip does look better but this grip just feels better to me. Bow season starts mid Sept in Arkansas and days can be hot and hands can be sweaty. No slippage with this. I actually rolled it over my leather grip that came with the bow.
Good grips
Bought a couple of these to put on the longbows I build a cheap / easy alternative to a leather stitched grip. Fits well, easy to install, comfortable to use over an extended time. I will buy again.
Posi-grip is excellent
Bought a longbow to try something different. LB's are a challenge and I learned what hand-shock is all about. This grip is perfect. Put it on a Samick SLB II and the grip is soft, comfortable and cut the hand-shock in half. The only comment; although it went on as described in the video, the "tweaking" reference was a little understated. It was more like a wrestling match for about… read more 15 minutes...but it worked as advertised.
Good Item
Good item for slender grip bows where the slip on feature is manageable. Doesn't move once installed.
Love this Grip
Down here in Florida you need a good grip on your bow because it's usually hot and humid. This grip is what you need. Tight fit, but If you just roll it on your grip is easy to install.
Pretty decent product so far.
I purchased this to put on my Bear Montana longbow and have been shooting with it for 2 weeks. Took a bit of effort to get it right on the grip but not difficult. There is a slight bubble on the deepest part of the grip where the grip does not fit real snug. Does not affect shooting though. The grip does leave a black residue on the hand after prolonged shooting. I like the way… read more my hand grips the bow now. The rubber and nubs on it really grip the hand and keep it in place. I used this grip on my bow on a recent 3D shoot and it performed as I expected it to. Overall I am happy with the grip. I shoot usually more than 500 arrows weekly. Durability will be the true test.
Posi-Grip Non-Slip Bow Grip
The Posi-Grip Non-Slip Bow Grip fit very easily on my bow. I like that it's lightweight and feels good as a grip.
Didn't Work For Me
I'm sure this works great on longbows and maybe most recurves, but it ripped when I tried to put it on a Black Widow SA II. I guess it's for one piece bows, or take downs with smaller risers. I would recommend it for those types of bows as I thought it would work as stated.
Best grip for my longbow
I would buy this product again fantastic
This would be tight to get over the bottom of the riser. It is possible but you will fun the risk of tearing it trying to get it over the wide parts of the riser.
I have one on all my Bear bows. Two required the use of WD 40 and some muscle. Great product.
Yes it should roll up and onto the grip of that bow.
It is possible. Need to go slowly and use something like WD-40 to lubricate the area where posi- grip will be fitted. Sent from my iPhone
I would not recommend using these grips on the Sage. The riser is too big and will rip or tear the grips. You may have to try a leather wrap grip.
The Shur-Grip would be very difficult to put onto a Damon Howatt Hunter due to the large size of the riser. I would not recommend using it for that bow.
I shot a Martin Hunter (same bow). In the past I had trouble in the summer months with my hand getting sweaty on the wood handle on hot, humid days. Last summer I ordered one of these grips. It took a lot of work to wiggle it over the widest point from the lower limb tip to the riser (where they join together), but with a little bit of soapy water I was able to stretch it enough to slide over. It fits well and I love the feel of it. Best yet, my hand does not sweat against the rubber grip like it did on the bare wood. I won't shoot without one anymore! Bob/ DragonHunter
I would really think so, but I cant guarantee it since I am not familiar with the design of the Damon Howatt Hunter. I have used Sure-Grip on all my bows with success. I have also tried the Posi-Grip (on the picture under). It is not as elastic as the Sure-Grip and I also prefer the smooth surface of the Sure-Grip Regards Stein
The Posi grip has dimples and bumps, the sure grip is completely smooth.
Both made out of the same material, but the posi grip has small raised nubs for extra grip. Works OK. J
I do not have the sure-grip. The posi-grip is a thin rubber sleeve. The difference is the posi-grip has little nubs on the grip that serve to improve grip. However, the posi-grip deteriorates quickly. I have had it on my bow for 2 months. It leaves a black residue on my hand when shooting. It is loosing the nubs and wearing down quicker than I would like. I might look into a leather type grip.
Hi !!! Answer: Both grips work for any traditional bow. The difference is that the posi grip is more padded and fits more to the shape of your hand, while the sure grip is thinner and firmer. Both grips are used to hold better your bow when shooting, producing more accurate shots. Fer
Living in the sub tropics of Queensland Australia which can be hot and sweaty, or raining, so both your hand and the grip of your bow can get slippery. We find you can not go past the Posi Grip, for comfort and non-slip on both Recurves and Longbows, which is why we purchase so many, there are a lot of Trad Archers on the coast. cheers, sue. On
Jean-Claude, Sure-Grip is smooth, posi Grip is bumpy (not dimpled) also looks different to the supplied photo, in that it is far more glossy. the supplied photo is a Matte/Satin finish appearance, not sure about the finish of the Sure-Grip. It should be able to roll over and fit both your bows, follwing the video install that 3rivers have uploaded.
Jean-Claude, The primary difference between the Sure and Posi-Grip is surface texture. The Sure Grip is smooth and the Posi Grip has a slightly bumpy (inaccurately described ad dimpled) surface. Both provide a vast measure of gripping improvement over leather or naked wood. In my opinion the Posi Grip is by far the better of the two for both comfort and effectiveness. However, after about 8 months of use the black Sure Grip started leaving a black residue on my hands. The residue is difficult to wash off and quite a nuisance. I read that the Posi Grip does not cause this problem so I ordered one and unfortunately in less than a month it is also leaving a black residue on my hands. Yesterday I took delivery of a brown Posi Grip and will give it a try. Today, I will also be giving 3R Customer Service a test run to see how they handle this issue.
Hello The difference is mainly the small dimples that perhaps gives better hand traction. I have tried it on my Tomahawk takedown an Dryad Oracle and it was OK. I just changed back to the Shure-Grip and it feels just as comfortable and I shoot just as well even in rain OK? Regards Stein
It will take some force to get it over the limb attachment, and if forced too hard it might it could ripe. I would recommend using: http:\/\/www.3riversarchery.com\/Bows+Bow+Accessories+Grips+%26+Material+Leather+Saddle_c44_s315_p17_i5048_product.html

No it does not keep your hand warm.
No, we do not have a list of specific bows that this will not fit. It has a harder time fitting on longbows that have a larger grip than a traditional longbow grip. Semi-pistol and pistol grips, for example.
It should fit all recurve or long bows. However, if you have a "takedown" bow you may have a problem getting the grip over the "takedown" assembly.
No it is for the DALLA only
I've used both the Posi and Sure Grips on Black Widows w/ Asbel grip. It's a task but it can be done. Roll up the grip and insert a length of 550 cord through the center to give the leverage you are going to need.
