Prologue Wood Longbow Reviews

Awesome bow

Mimzy

I was shooting a 35 lb draw longbow for years (red oak) and had always said that I'd buy myself a nice one one of these days. I'm teaching my nephew, and he just graduated from a youth bow and I gave him mine. So I totally had an excuse to buy this one...wasn't sure if I'd be able to use the 50 lb version, but apparently I'm stronger than I think I am. Beautiful bow, perfect read more length and easier to string than I thought it would be. VERY powerful, the first time I shot this one the arrow went sailing all the way down the lane, over the fence, and into the neighbor's yard. Oops. Smooth draw, excellent release.

Beautiful Bow

My husband bought me this bow for my birthday, and after almost a year of use, I still absolutely adore it. The paint job and finish still look perfect. Light and elegant, it's the perfect bow for me. I'm 5'4" and have the 35#. My 7 year old can even shoot this bow.

In Love!

I've only had the chance to shoot this bow twice, but I love it! It's so much lighter than my compound, which is wonderful! The paint job is better than I expected, with the exception that whatever clear coat (matte finish, not shiny) is bubbled up and peeling off in a couple spots (not an issue for me at all). The only thing that I am worried about, is it appears that there is read more a small crack at the bottom tip of the bow. Now, I'm not sure if it goes all the way through or not, but seeing as it's just at the very end, I'm hoping that it won't be an issue.

Love the Prologue bow

I ordered the Prologue bow online and just had the chance to shoot it for the first time, at an indoor archery range. It's light and, despite its length, easy to manage. I got it in the 45# draw weight, and it has a surprising amount of power for such a light bow. It shoots a good straight line. Definitely more than just a pretty bow.

I would recommend in our B50 flemish twist bow string item number 1515x in a length of 68 inches. This string will have center serving and will work for this bow. The string does have some stretch to it so you will want to check your brace height. another good string to look at would be our Timber hitch adjustable bow string item number 6608.

Do you have an option so that it does not have an arrow rest, so someone can shoot right or left handed? We have a few left handed friends but this bow would primarily be shot by myself and daughter who pull with the right hand.

We do not have this bow in a right or left hand shootableity. You would have to look at some of our other wood long bow for that option.
