Artfully finished, this Prologue Bow would fit in great at any shooting club, Renaissance Faire, or on the range. Made from one solid piece of Hickory for performance and strength, each Prologue Bow is hand painted and made in the USA. Each bow is one of a kind! Available in right or left hand, please specify. Sold in weights of35, 40, 45, 50, and 55, at 28", please specify. Approximately 72" tip-to-tip. Bow stringer included. A bow stringer is recommended for stringing any recurve bow or longbow. Stringing a bow without a bow stringer, or stringing it backwards will void a bow's warranty. Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending your draw length. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So, a bow rated 35# @ 28" is roughly a 32½# @ 27" or 38½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard. It is recommended to unstring your primitive bow when you are done shooting, and only string it right before shooting. Store your bow on its side, or hanging vertically from a peg. Never rest the bow on the lower tip for extended periods of time. Never dry fire the bow (shooting without an arrow). 3RIVERS SERVICE: Bow Set-up Read about Longbow & Recurve Set-up See the Hawkwood Bowglove See the Robin Hood Bracer/Bowglove ...read more

Awesome bow
I was shooting a 35 lb draw longbow for years (red oak) and had always said that I'd buy myself a nice one one of these days. I'm teaching my nephew, and he just graduated from a youth bow and I gave him mine. So I totally had an excuse to buy this one...wasn't sure if I'd be able to use the 50 lb version, but apparently I'm stronger than I think I am. Beautiful bow, perfect… read more length and easier to string than I thought it would be. VERY powerful, the first time I shot this one the arrow went sailing all the way down the lane, over the fence, and into the neighbor's yard. Oops. Smooth draw, excellent release.
I would buy this product again
Very smooth and easy to set up and use
Great for learning
Amazing look, and great to learn on.
Beautiful Bow
My husband bought me this bow for my birthday, and after almost a year of use, I still absolutely adore it. The paint job and finish still look perfect. Light and elegant, it's the perfect bow for me. I'm 5'4" and have the 35#. My 7 year old can even shoot this bow.
In Love!
I've only had the chance to shoot this bow twice, but I love it! It's so much lighter than my compound, which is wonderful! The paint job is better than I expected, with the exception that whatever clear coat (matte finish, not shiny) is bubbled up and peeling off in a couple spots (not an issue for me at all). The only thing that I am worried about, is it appears that there is… read more a small crack at the bottom tip of the bow. Now, I'm not sure if it goes all the way through or not, but seeing as it's just at the very end, I'm hoping that it won't be an issue.
Love the Prologue bow
I ordered the Prologue bow online and just had the chance to shoot it for the first time, at an indoor archery range. It's light and, despite its length, easy to manage. I got it in the 45# draw weight, and it has a surprising amount of power for such a light bow. It shoots a good straight line. Definitely more than just a pretty bow.
It will be a B55/B50 string. That's the only material you will want to use.
I would recommend in our B50 flemish twist bow string item number 1515x in a length of 68 inches. This string will have center serving and will work for this bow. The string does have some stretch to it so you will want to check your brace height. another good string to look at would be our Timber hitch adjustable bow string item number 6608.

We do not have any left in RH 35# at the moment. We are not able to backorder them at this time.

Bowskin Archery makes this bow.
Yes but it would be too long to ship via USPS and would have to ship via UPS for $223.99
Arrows are all going to depend on the weight of the bow you are looking to go with, the weight of the point you plan on shooting, and your draw length. If you would like further help trying to decide what arrow would best suit you please contact us at [email protected] or at 260-587-9501.
The B-50 string is a great string for this bow. (1515X)
We are out of stock of that weight at this time
It looks like we are out of stock on the 35# but we do have a few other options like the Trojan longbow.
We do not have this bow in a right or left hand shootableity. You would have to look at some of our other wood long bow for that option.
