SRF bow sights are a revolutionary sighting system designed specifically for bowhunting. They allow rapid target acquisition, instantaneous range adjustment, and the ability to track moving and even flying game. The SRF is a true instinctive sight with no marks and no numbers. There is no calculation required. You simply acquire the proper sight picture and release the arrow. These sights do require practice to use well, and are not a cure for poor form. They will, however, take your shooting to another level if properly used. They feature all the advantages of barebow instinctive shooting combined with the precision of a sight. The SRF is available in 3 profiles to fit any trajectory and range group. Please read the Buyers Guide before ordering to insure you choose the right option. People who want to experiment can purchase the full set of 3. These sights are machined from ΒΌ" 6061-T651 alloy and hard type III anodized. The studs are high strength stainless steel with brass and phenolic locking hardware. The SRF is available in Green Luminescent back ring that glows softly in low light conditions, or "Optical Flat Black" (OFB). Click here to see the Flat Black SRF Bow Sights. The SRF system in the Green Luminescent can be used in either for right of left handed bows. Please specify hand and which size you prefer. I've been shooting Trad bows for around 25 years, for what ever reason in the last few years my accuracy has suffered, I just could not shoot as good as I used to. I've even thought about giving up on Trad bows. A few weeks ago I made a simple sight bracket and started messing around with sights on my bow. It didn't take me long to realize that sights would give me back the confidence… read more I needed in my shooting. I was placing an order with 3R and decided to try one of the SRF sights. Glad I did I consider it one of the best purchases I've made in a while. Since I already had a pin and bracket I knew close to where I needed the sight to be so set up was quick. At first I wasn't terribly impressed and thought some of my homemade sights worked as well. Then I remembered the online instructions about looking through the sight, it works. Pick a small spot and the sight just automatically lines up. It's put the joy back into shooting for me. I really wish I'd have tried one of these sooner, feel that for a beginner or anyone having shooting issues this can help.
Just what I needed to be able to shoot with my eye problem
lost my right eye, could not use my peep. I still shoot right handed only I have to use my left eye and I can do it with this sight pin.
Really helped me
I just started to shoot recurve a little over a month ago to be able to shoot with my son and grandson. Both shoot compund bows with all the amennities (sights, stabilzers, etc) I wanted to avoid all that fancy stuff. When I started shooting, my arrows were all over the place. I found rhese sights doing some research. Wanting to stay as.close to traditional as possible, I thought… read more I.would try this open.sight system. (I needed.some help due to my eyesight problems). See attached pics of my groupings. All I can say is WOW !
Works for me
I bought this SRF sight because at 74 years old my dominant eye and focus had changed. In reading various blogs I decided to see if :1. it would help me focus with a weaker dominant eye and 2. continue to shoot right handed. I am not a Doctor and I didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn, but I feel it did help me.
This thing really works.
I purchased the "A" aperature and it is ideal for my 48# Titan 3 recurve. I set my hunting limits at 25 yards, and this sight works well from 10 yards out to 25 yards. My target is centered in the aperature at 20, the top portion at 10/15 yards, and the bottom of the curve at 25 yards. I also mounted this with the universal mount on the back of my riser. It is better protected there… read more between the back of the riser and the string. It really helps me focus on the target and avoid rushing my shot.
Amazing
I don't get to shoot my bow as much as i like anymore and last year i missed 9 deer in a row on my trip to Texas and i was pretty disappointed. I decided to try this SRF out and man am i glad i did. I used to shoot a lot of tournaments but not anymore so i decided to try it out. It took about 3 weeks to get used to but now I'm driving nails. There will be venison back on the menu… read more at my house this year for sure. I like the fact that it is like a cross between sighting and instinctive shooting. I love it.
Loving it four months later
It took some time to adjust to using a sight since I have always shot by instinct. It is great because you can still shoot by instinct (somewhat hybrid method of using pin and instinct) but with better predictability. I improved this sight( i bought large illuminated aperture) by adding a back ground pin. I used an old style pin bracket from my local archery shop. It was… read more a simple bracket that was almost flat (slight dog leg) that mounted with 2 screws(AMO style inserts). I had to drill and tap in my own threaded inserts into a riser that I made. The bracket had two slots. One for the aperture and one for the pin. I set the pin (with some trial and error) for a 22 yard shot. This reference pin is nice for me for consistent accuracy. Probably one of the best upgrades I made to my shooting. I would recommend using an illuminated pin with the illuminated aperture.. beautiful..
Works as advertised
I had to get one of these just to play with. Sure made my consistency improve but it just wasn't for me. I went trad to get away from sighting aides and extra irrelevant devices on my bow. For what it is...it works very well. The one issue I had with it though was that it lacked a broad range of adjustability. I don't shoot my bow vertical, I shoot it with a slight cant.… read more The threaded rod of this bow did not allow for enough windage adjustment due to my shooting style. I had to go to the hardware to get a threaded rod that was nearly 3x longer than OEM. Just thought I'd mention that for those who my have my same experience.
Improved my shooting right away
I bought this sight to improve my close range shooting 10-35yds. At those ranges the tip of my arrow (aiming reference) is out of the sight picture and I would have to take my eyes off the target to judge my point of hold. this caused my groupings to be rather large at moderate ranges 25yds or so. At 40-50 yds the tip of my arrow was on or above the target and I could see both… read more at the same time allowing me to focus on the target. Now with the SRF sight, I can look directly at the target and have a frame of reference at the same time. After a few groups of arrows I had considerably smaller groups at close ranges and could walk arrows right into the Xring. Using the sight takes me out the traditional recurve division during 3D shoots, but I feel my ability to kill an animal in one shot is more important then where I place in a tournament.
Bow sight
Be aware of the fact that the sight insert that is on your bow currently may be way to low to use this item!! May have to drill and attach a threaded insert.
This is a sighting system to narrow down your field of vision to help focus on the target. If you struggle a lot with that I would go with the smaller option.
Use one of these brackets, depending upon what holes are in the riser: https://www.3riversarchery.com/das-bows-dalaa-riser-bracket.html
It is 1 5/8" opening .
The bracket will fit the DAS HT21 riser .
B or C gives you a longer sight window.
Yes, the SF sighting system will for the first generation DAS.
You can use the stick on tab otherwise it would require those ATA bushings.
The thread count is 10-32.
It should not affect it negatively as it is still narrowing down your sight picture as intended. Only a severe cant would move it out of your target. You would want the widest apeture to help with that as well
B is going to work the best for that range of yardage.
