Not for every bow
I originally got this sight set for my Hoyt Satori riser. However, due to the shape of the Satori, specifically, the curves on the back of the riser (the side towards the target) prevent the adjusting nut from traveling to the lowest setting, with the bracket on the highest. If your bow or riser of choice has a flat back, like my Martin Jaguar, you will have no trouble with gaining… read more the full range of travel for your specific adjustments. Just a word of advice for new Jaguar users: get a thread chaser and clean out all the threaded holes on your riser. It seems that Martin added the finish without plugging the holes, so you may find them fouled just enough to hinder screw insertion.
Good product
These work great. I bought the middle size, but after using it I would recommend buying the package of all 3 so you can go from one to the other depending on what you're shooting and your skill level. It was a little bigger than I imagined and at 20 steps it gives quite a large sight picture. But, it does the job I wanted it to do, which is to give a small assist without losing… read more the feel of shooting instinctively. Overall, I like it.
Changed the Game in One Afternoon
Took just 5 shots at 20 yards to set zero where I wanted it.. then nothing but center shots. Have only used a recurve for 2 months, hunting is around the corner, and I was missing 2 out of 5 shots. I didn't feel very confident. The sight picture this provides was just enough to string killzone shots in the first afternoon. Going to go ahead and start learning my shot picture at… read more different ranges for the rest of these weeks I have to practice, but I can say at least .."I got this at 20 yards" - Thats a huge leap for me.
Wow!
Never shot traditional before and after 10 minutes I had baseball sized groups at 25 yards. Amazing! Can't wait to hit the whitetail woods.
A 'helping' hand
A great little sighting system that helps you build confidence in 'every' shot but is still simple to use for hunting.
Not too shabby
This sight is very well made and looks to be bullet proof. It works very well for it's intended purpose. It's as close to a pin sight as you can get. The only downside is that you must keep your target perfectly centered in the aperture, or you will miss. I bought the smallest size, and it transcends about an 18" circle at 20 yards.
Very Helpful
In trying to master bare bow instinctive shooting I hit a wall. I really couldn't be confident in why I missed the bull. I tried a standard pin sight, but it was too bulky, though very helpful. I just needed assurance during aim that I was getting my visual sight picture right so I could be sure what technique adjustments were needed. This sight is not like a peep but helps greatly… read more to get the measure of your visual picture and memory of the shot. Sort of like a very large peep. So if I've got a good sight picture but miss left by six inches it's technique and not "did I really aim there?" With bare bow, I often couldn't be sure about my sight picture. I miss six inches left, and I think, maybe I aimed there. Much smaller and less bulky than compound-bow style pin sights, I really like the product. Adjusts easily and perfect for visual memory of a shot.
Great Produt
When I bought the SRF aperture and E bracket I was pretty skeptical. I wanted something that would be practical for hunting and now believe I have found it. It literally took 2 shots to get is centered for the correct left and right. After that, I just adjusted to where 15 yards was right in the middle of the aperture. After a few shots it became second nature. I also tried… read more it right before dark and was impressed. Even without the lume coating the sight could still be picked up. It is really as simple as picking a spot and framing it with the aperture. The SRF will be on one of my hunting rigs this year!
Improved Focus
I purchased the size "A", what it has done is improve my form. Any flaws in the form are magnified when using the sight window. The only issue is when you're using a non-adjustable sight bracket you need to make sure the sight window is centered on the distance you want to shoot. I attached it with duct tape until I found the elevation I wanted for 20 yards then attached the… read more bracket. It took a couple of sessions to not focus on the sight instead of the target, but then it all came together. I'm shooting the best groups I've ever shot.
A handy instinct shooting aid
The sight functions as advertised and is easy to adjust. I have had problems with the "stick on" mounting system, however. In three weeks of use, I have twice had to reapply the sight mounting plate with new double back tape and go through the sighting-in process again. I would recommend buying one of the permanent mounting brackets versus the stick-on, and modifying the host bow… read more to accommodate the bracket.
Yes the bow must be held upright for this sight.
This is not really a sight but a sighting system. It basically gives you tunnel vision to help block out things around your target. If you notice your getting distracted by objects around the target this can help with that.
They will work. The reason the Lume version ask is because only the one side has that lume on it.
I believe it will work for you. It just depends upon how close your eye is to the string/arrow.
This sight would work like any other sight. If you can use a sight, then this one would be no different.
Yes with the universal bracket

I would recommend the universal mounting bracket for that bow.
Yes you could use this sight with target shooting and be very successful with it.

They do come with the adjusting nuts, so you do not need to purchase separately. I believe it would work on the Bear Shur Hit Bracket, but I can say absolutely for sure as I do not have one to try.
The Universal SRF Bracket
I found the bolt on the aperture a little too short for my Samick Sage (using the Universal SRF Mounting Bracket): not quite enough windage available. I used an offset aimpoint to compensate for a few sessions before I broke down and bought a 3" 10-32 machine screw, and hacksawed off the head to make a replacement part. The aperture unscrews but it resisted enough that I had to use vice grips on the original bolt in order to get enough torque to get it off. Works great now, but I wish the original was a little longer so modification would not be necessary.
yes i have same bow i use size a
