The Stiktamer was specifically designed for the recurve shooter. Made of a hybrid foam rubber material, Stiktamer is designed to deaden string slap and limb vibration. More than a bow silencer, the Stiktamer is a protective cradle for the hook when using a bow hanger or as a brush protector for keeping sticks and leaves from catching under your bow string when in the woods. This protects the finish on the limb and avoids abrasion to the string. They are water resistant and last shot after shot. Sold by the pair. Reduces limb and string noise Keeps sticks and leaves from between the string and limb Protects limb finish and string when bow is on a hanger Made from a hybrid foam rubber for durability Made in the USA ...read more

East to install
A must have on a hunting recurve
Silence is deadly in the deer woods. They can't duck what they can not hear. Easy to install. Paired with your favorite string silencers ,, as well as some Velcro in your string grooves. These little stiktamers will make your hunting recurve quieter than it's ever been before. Also they virtually eliminate string vibration. All of my hunting recurves have these little gems installed… read more on the ...happy hunting
Oneida silencer!
I put these on my favorite recurve "Onieda Aeroforce" What a difference in sound. The bow never has vibrated but was a little loud. At the first shot I thought something was wrong. Maybe I had let down the poundage or something. Checked and shot some more. What a big difference! For all you Oneida shooters out there you should try these. I've got a couple of Bear recurves… read more that are fairly quite already but am going to order a couple more sets for these as well. The design is also a great brush button. Not sure what the sun and weather will do to these but time will tell.
Works as advertised
These are the best limb silencers I've found so far, and I now use them on all of my recurves. I wish they weren't as pricey as they are for some foam rubber, although they're nice. If you leave your top string loop around the limb when unstrung, yes, the loop can start to dig away at the adhesive bond of the foam-to-limb connection. While slightly less convenient than leaving… read more the string on the bow when unstrung, on some bows I've switched to removing the string completely, and this problem goes away. Minor stringing-routine changes like this are worth it for the quieting effect. These things really do work, and I wonder what the "doesn't quiet mine" reviewers actually have wrong with their bows. I have yet to put these tamers on a bow and not notice a night-and-day improvement.
Quick, Easy, Effective
These only took about 6 minutes to install, and my bow was much quieter, afterward. I usually use yarn as quick and easy puff balls on the string, and I also wrap yarn around the strings near where the string slaps the limb. This works, but I'm always having to rewrap the string ends because they come unraveled, etc. In addition, wrapping the string with yarn does nothing to silence… read more limb vibration. After installing the Sticktamers, my bow was even quieter, and they did not affect accuracy all.
PRODUCT IMPEDES THE PLACEMENT OF THE UPPER BOWSTRING LIMB.
Get brush buttons instead. They are MUCH cheaper and 10 times more efficient.
Fantastic product
These are awesome. I used to get brush stuck between my string and limbs when moving through the woods. My bow sounded like a tuning fork whenever it bumped against anything, and it would get stuck on my bow hanger when I tried to pick it up. These eliminated all 3 of those problems. They also deaden vibration and noise. I use rubber string silencers so my bow was already quiet… read more and had very little vibration, but now it's all but non-existent. So simple yet so effective. I will never be without these on my recurve again. I'm going to but an extra pair or two in case they get damaged. I highly recommend them.
Noticibly quieted the bow.

Still tamers
I think that they are great, very easy to install and they work great.
Works great on black widow pch
Install as per instructions and this product will work.
The height of the Stick-tamer is 7/8 inches high.
I use them along with string silencers.
Doug I think you will still need something on the string like slugs or whiskers but I don't know for sure.
I have not tried to string or unstring a bow with the Stiktamers on. It looks like it might. It would depend on the size of your string loops.
I found that they work as advertised, BUT also found that after repeated unstringing my recurve, the upper string loop put too much pressure on the Stiktamer causing it to tear away from the limb. They were installed according to instructions. A bow stringer does not affect them, they just keep the string taught when unstrung causing eventual failure to stay attached to the limb. If you leave your bow strung, they work just fine.
Considering where these are placed I would say they shouldn't cause a problem with unstringing your bow. They should however have an added bonus of acting like a string keeper as well as the listed uses of it.
In no way does the stiktamer hinder the stringing or un-stringing of the bow. Most guys use a stringer which is in contact on the other side of the limb.
You could but they are for a recurve to stop the string from hitting the limbs, that doesn't happen on a longbow
The height of the Stick-tamer is 7/8 inches high.
These can make it a bit more difficult to unstring, but normally they are not a problem.
You can mount these onto an Oneida, but they generate so much noise I do not know how much it would help to reduce the noise.
Anything that you add to the limbs or the string will effect the speed of the arrow. You will not notice a dramatic drop in velocity with these. Maybe only a foot per second or so.
these will not effect the speed of the bow because they are placed where the the string stops and where the limb moves very minimal.
They weigh 60 grains each.
They come as a set.
