Read reviews about it being difficult to work with. Sat it in the sun for a minute then applied. Exactly what I was looking for.

Work really good once it was soft I was doing a Flemish twist bowstring and it helps hold everything together as I was twisting it up made it really easy being it's the first couple times I've done it one bad thing is the shape of the wax was a little hard to use and hold on to

Nothing special

This product was hard as a rock and not usable. I've gone back to some wax I had which was much more pliable and able to work into the string.

I really like this string wax

Good string wax

Much better than using just beeswax. Holds strand bundles together much better than beeswax alone. Make sure you're in a warm setting though or can heat up this wax a little bit as it is a bit harder than beeswax or regular string wax and will clump more the colder the setting.

String Wax

Used the wax on my Fleming strings for my recurve. Works well on my current string and I waxed my spare string also. Much better than the stick that I used on my compound bow.

Extremely hard wax.

This wax is very hard which makes it tough to work into the string fibers when you are building a string.

A "gotta have"

A product that I didn't know must be used; the video of removing the excess with heavy thread was most useful; thank you, 3 Rivers!

I ordered this wax a while back and haven't figured out how to use it, as it's hard as a rock! Do you have to heat it with a lighter or some other heat source before you can apply it to your bow string? I've been using Textite for now. Thanks.

You use it like any other string wax and simply take the wax and 14 years ago

You use it like any other string wax and simply take the wax and run it up and down string. The heat from running it up and down will help melt the wax and get it to stick to the string. After that take a small psc of leather and wrap it around the string and then run it up and the down the string, this will force the wax into the core of the string and burnish it.

Hold the wax with your palm, place the string between your thumb 12 years ago

Hold the wax with your palm, place the string between your thumb and the wax and run the string through.

I usually put it in a plastic ziplock bag and carry it in my poc 12 years ago

I usually put it in a plastic ziplock bag and carry it in my pocket to warm it up a little before I use it so it's easier to apply. I live in a hot climate so leaving it in the direct sunlight works well too. Don't skimp on application and run a piece of nice leather up and down several times to further melt the wax into the bundles. Good shootin'!

use only the light colored side. the manufacturer, had a wonderf 13 years ago

use only the light colored side. the manufacturer, had a wonderful idea using the pine rosin, unfortunately, a step of straining off impurities was omited, so if you are using the dark colored side, it wont work, or worse, it will abrade your string. here's a tip, when you have a bunch of left over cakes, double broil them in a cup cake paper. this remelts and all the sediment once again settles, or you could always slow pour off the good stuff if it's worth your time, just my two pennies... Just rub it on your string like normal wax then take your finger 13 years ago

Just rub it on your string like normal wax then take your finger and rub the string up and down tell the heat from your hands works the wax into the string.
