Super Pad Reviews

They changed, it used to be really good.

Mike

I have use super pad on the bows I build and sell, for the last 10 years or so and I've not had a single complaint. In fact customers have often asked what it is and where to get it. But the last order I got of super pad, was over twice as thick as it used to be and hard to work with. I don't know why people need to change things, that are already good. Easily cut with good adhesive.

Take care applying.

Take care in cutting it to the shape it will be applied to and apply it carefully and it will work the best. This stuff can be used for many household applications besides archery.

I like it!

Very thin, but seems durable. I'm using it to cover a Bear Weatherest that I've shaved down. I wanted something "soft", but thin and durable. This appears to fit the bill. I'm thinking about using it between the limbs and riser on a 3 piece bow as well. If you are looking for a very thin felt/suede like material, you should probably give this a try.

Just what the doctor ordered

I put this on the riser where the limbs bolt on. the bow makes less nose. There was a little play in my limbs and it has took care of that as well.

Product can be used in multiple areas. Two sheets come in a pack. Cut to any shap and peal-n-stick. Only complaint is that its thinner than expected. Anctious to see how product wears over time.

Works Great

Can this be used as a string groove silencer? Is it diferent than the felt you sell in similar size sheets for the string groove? I'm looking for a brown string groove silencer and am not sure I would like the cow hair ones being black.

I used this material as a string groove silencer and it works fine. I just used the old black one as a pattern but since you are cutting it out of a large rectangle you can make it any size or shape you like. RD

I've used mole skin before, and without knowing the exact dimensions, I would say it is thinner if not the same. It is inexpensive, durable and well worth the try.

The thicker it is, the quieter it will be. This has some thickness to it, but not a lot. It is enough to dampen string slap and can be used as rest or strike plate material.

Asked by Log Dawg 13 years ago

Could I use this material as a plate? I am just getting into traditional archery and dont understand the reasoning for a plate.
