Easy to use and as described
Looks good, wish I knew how to use it!
This item is well built with quality materials. Some instruction on proper adjusting, type of knot to use, tips on proper use and procedures would be very helpful to novices and people who have not used this product before.

Handy and quick these tillering boots are!
Boot
easy to use
Great Tool
This makes tillering etc. self bows much more enjoyable. A gift to myself...
Perfect for tillering
Does exactly as expected, east to adjust, and much easier to put on the bow then a string off and on when tillering, with or without nocks
Nice product
I am a new bowyer and just started making my own bows. The teacher in the class I took used this item when we were tillering our bows. I was impressed with how easy it was to use since we had to use it multiple times to get the tiller just right on our first bows. Nice product.
The pockets are approximately 1 3/4" deep and the string is about 94" long.
"How deep are the pockets* (about 2 inches)* and how long is the string *(8 to 9 feet long)*?"
You don't want to short string the tillering boots. The string is long and changes the boot angle so it doesn't slip off .
Yes, that is its purpose
Yes, you can use it instead of a tillering string.
You can use the tillering boots before and cut your nocks later. The tillering boots I bought was made of leather and the string 550 para cord which is very strong.
i have used this several times with out knocks. it just slips over the ends of the stave
It is a nylon cord
Yes, this boot is large enough to tiller a 72" bow.
Yes, the boots on the end are big enough to work for tillering both recurves and longbows.
You can adjust the string lenght to fit different lenght bows
The tillering boot is made from a heavier leather and has deeper pockets. It would not work the same as a bow stringer.
