Timber Ridge T/D 60" Recurve Review

A GREAT budget T/D bow option!

I was a both skeptical and optimistic about this bow just based off the fact it's a China bow at a budget price… But I am going through the process of testing bows and working my way ultimately towards a custom/high end bow. Upon receiving this bow it did have a slight twist in the upper limb… I ultimately shimmed between the limb and riser and it's worked it's self out just… read more fine. With all that aside the fit and finish is to be expected. Some lines don't flow and line up but again, it's a budget mass production bow. I added a high end string and tuned this bow diligently with good arrow build and this bow is LIGHTS OUT. It shoots right there with any other bow I've used. I think at the end of the day it has all the right features for the price and it is an EXCELLENT BUDGET BOW. I will be hunting with it this fall and in NE next year.

Not what I was expecting

I typically don't like buying a bow without being able to take it for a test drive. That being said I bought this bow for my son as a birthday gift. When it arrived I opened the package and was very pleased with the look of the bow. However that is where the pleasure ended. I put the bow together and strung it up first thing that I took notice to was both limbs had a slight twist.… read more The twist was very minor and the bow would have been useable however I wanted it to be right. I immediately called 3 Rivers and the gentleman who i spoke with said I should return the bow. But it would be at my expense. I filled out all the paperwork and requested an exchange for the 50# longbow instead. After about 2 weeks after I returned the bow I called again as I had not heard from 3 Rivers. The gentleman who i spoke with informed me that the bow had arrived and they had to check the bow over and then my request would be filled. After another week I received an email stating that my new bow was being processed, however it was for the same bow I had just returned. I again called 3 Rivers and had to get things straightened out. In the end I did get the long bow which is a beautiful piece. Everything turned out Okay, but it was a bit of a hassle and I'm not happy about having to pay to return defective merchandise.

Great bow at a great price

i like target shooting .for that purpose ,this bow is perfect if i decide to try hunting. i'm confident it will be perfect for that as well

Awesome !!

I have shot bows since I was 8yrs old. Started traditional , shot competition tricked out compound for the last 25 years now coming full circle with this bow. Affordable, accurate, quite, and beautiful !!!!
