Traditional Only® Recurve Plus Travel Hard Case Reviews

Super tough

I bought two of these cases and they both are exactly as described EXCEPT the lengths. The exterior cover and fittings attractive and in good condition. Straps, zippers, stitching appear to be rugged so far. As advertised, there is an inch of padding at each end and the entire interior is lined with soft felt material. Obviously whatever one is carrying may need a little extra padding read more to prevent contents from shifting. But the interior will cushion any light jostling as is. (Maybe a minor suggested upgrade would be some means like a loop on the interior lid for tying a bow sock and preventing the full weight of the bow from resting on the lower limb when tipped up). The only reason I gave this product a four is the aforementioned length issue. I know these aren't Hubble Space Telescope mirrors, but they weren't kidding about "approximate" lengths in the description. My 59" version was only 57.5" and decreased the interior length to just 55.5. Almost didn't fit my AMO 58" Super Grizzly, which is one of the shorter recurves out there (less than 55" unstrung). Should not have been this close. My example limits usefulness for other bows. The advertised 59" exterior/57" interior would have fit most unstrung AMO 60" recurves - a much more common length. My 62" version is actually 63.5". Better too long than too short, but didn't really need the extra length for my AMO 60" hybrid longbow. I would (and probably will) buy this product again. But given the variable spec issues, if you are concerned whether this product will work for your bow, I advise knowing your bow's UNSTRUNG (not AMO) length and contacting 3Rivers sales staff to measure the INTERIOR length of the specific item they intend to ship to you. If you are combining the order with a bow order, definitely have them check the fit (if you are having a bow shipped in the product, 3Rivers will presumably notice any issues then).

Yes, you can store arrow in here, there's the bow pocket, a zip pocket for tabs/gloves/etc and a arrow pocket, I can fit my 11 arrows I'd say top is 24 arrows. Maybe more, it's a great case I recommend for flying or moving

Nothing More, Nothing Less

This case does exactly what it says--stores your unstrung recurve (mine is 60"), a few arrows (I have 6), and maybe a couple accessories (I have one glove and a stringer, and they're packed tight in there). Nothing else like it on the market, and they're clear about the color, dimensions, and features. So A+ there. Only thing I will warn is that if you have delicate arrows, they'll read more probably get a little squished. If you want to store a bunch in here, you probably can't. My biggest complaint per se is that the bow rolls around in the case. Even though it has its own compartment, if the round case rolls a bit (as round things do), you can hear the bow rolling around too. Just be aware. It's solid though, and it's adequately padded on the top/bottom, so I feel content that my bow is safe.

Good purchase

a must buy if you live out side the us,why take the risk of getting a damage bow,who knows what gets thrown on top in a gargo plane, and just think of all the hastle you will have trying to send the bow back, and reclaiming your inport taxes, save your self the stress when buying a bow,and buy a flight case,it realy is worth the extra cost
