I am not fond of the light colored wood. I attempted to remove the semi-gloss finish with sandpaper so I could stain it to match the room where my bows, fly rods and shotguns are stored (a rugged, "outdoorsy" looking den). Unfortunately it was not possible to remove the coating completely and my gorgeous bow rack is now stained rather blotchy. I wish there were more stain choices… read more or an unfinished choice. If it weren't so expensive I would buy another and just live with the light wood.

I've been looking for a way to hang my bows and quivers without taking up too much room on the wall. I didn't have too much horizontal space, so the fact that this bow rack allows multiple bows to hang vertically within a narrow area worked for me. The rack is not stained, so that would be something to add to make it look better.
No. While it does its job, it is not quits what I needed.

Item was as described. Good quality. Just needed a little more to it for my needs. As for the item no complaints. If I had less gear to use it for it would have been great. Even so I have still made use of it.

The product works as intended; however the wood was warped when I received it. Otherwise, it is a decent product but I would just build one myself If I were to do it again.

Well made bow rack. comes unstained so that you can stain it to match the room.

I went from using 6 ft of floor space to using 2 ft of wall space in less than 10 minutes. Displays my bows in a neat and orderly fashion and gets my quivers out of the corner for an asthetically pleasing view.

This product does the job I am truely pleased with this bow rack It handles all of my bows (7) with ease and they are easy to get to. The construction is [imo) very good and it is simple to mount onto a wall or door.

When you unstring your bow you should leave the bottom loop in t

When you unstring your bow you should leave the bottom loop in the string groove and have the top loop sit on the upper limb. That is how the bows are hanging on the rack, but the upper loop of the bow string.

That would depend on the weight you are putting on the rack. I p

I understand that the best way to store recurves or longbows is stored flat. Is hanging them OK? I inherited some nice wooden recurves and would hate to see any twist in the limbs. Thanks

Does the Four Bow Rack truely require that the Bows not be strung? My wife and I shoot in the morning and sometimes that same afternoon. Can the bows be hung on the Rack while stll strung? Thanx Jim
