Ancient history is often mingled with legend. The Trojan War is a perfect example. Did the King of Sparta truly wage war against Troy for the hand of the lovely Helen? One thing we do know for a fact is that such a war would have included use of the longbow. The Trojan Longbow is a historical replica of just such a bow. Made from Hickory Sapwood, the Trojan Longbow comes with a Dacron Bowstring. It is stained dark brown and hand-wiped with gold paint. It features a real leather hand wrap for comfort. Embrace the legend with the Trojan Longbow! Measures 72" long. Comes in draw weights of 35#, 40#, 45#, 50#, and 55#. Please specify. Bow weight will change approximately ±2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 47½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard. Yes, the Trojan Longbow is tillered at 28".
It is a total D style bow, the back is flat.
You could use the bow but drawing it past 28" will decrease the life expectancy of the bow. This is the case with most 1 piece primitive bows.
Arrow length is dependent on the person drawing the bow. Generally you will have an arrow that is at least 1 inch longer than your personal draw length.
The bowyer does not do any custom orders unfortunately.
You would be looking at UPS WWE due to the size and that would be about $223.99
