Simple and effective way to hang your bows
This is a great way to hang your bow. Very well made and I know my bow is secure. I also use mine for hanging my hat, glove/tabs, etc.
The finished version had some issues.
I ordered a pair of these racks to hang my longbows out of the way. I thought that i would save myself the time, and trouble of finishing them myself by ordering the finished 6 bow racks. I planned to hang them parallel to each other as I don't unstring my bows.Anyway, the tone of the finish wasn't even close, so if your plans are like mine I would suggest finishing them yourself.… read more As I was working I noticed that one of the pegs was missing. I backtracked through the house to the box they came in, and then searched the box. It was nowhere to be found. I double checked the rest of the dowels, and found six of the remaining eleven were loose, and came right out of their holes. A quick phone call to James at 3 rivers, and he assured me that he would have a new dowel on it's way. Luckily, I had some glue on hand, and was able to shore up what I had left so I could put them up. Like I said, you may just want to get get the kit. It's up to you.
Yes, I would buy again.
Works very well for my needs
Im buying this product again.
Simple, easy to instal it does the job very nice. im planning on collecting bows this product was just spot on.
Great & Convenient Bow Rack!
Service and delivery was excellent. Quality of material and finish was well worth the money spent. This is solid stained oak and looks really nice with my traditional recurve bows.
I would buy this product again.
Great bow rack.
I'm glad I bought it. Perfect for me.
I live in a small apartment. I screwed it to wall. Put my four bows on it. Have enough room for two more bows. A great investment for keeping bows off the floor and looks great on the wall. I find no fault with it. If I get more than 6 bows, I will have to buy another.
Love it! Looks great on my den wall.
Great item. I really like that you can buy it without stain so you can finish it out however you like.
Well made and holds plenty bows.
I purchased two of the Oak finished version. Workmanship, and finish, are excellent. I mounted the two so that the bows could be mounted horizontally. The bow holding pegs are long enough to hold two traditional style longbows each. So I can actually hold twelve traditional longbows, if needed.
Nice rack!!!
The finished oak model looks great! It's nice to finally have a place to hang my longbow and recurves. Pre drilled holes are 32" on center allowing for solid attachment to your wall.
The three bow rack is 18" and the six bow rack is 35" .
Yes they are sold individually so you would have to buy two to lay them horizontally .
This rack is about 35" long and shipping would be $6.95 if only purchasing this item (shipping goes off of order total)
You can turn the rack horizontally if you like. As long as the pegs are level you can store a bow like that.
The pegs are 3/8" in diameter and 6" apart.
A little over 1/4" in diameter and 6" distance between pegs.
Diameter is not quite a 1/2" Distance is 6" between pegs Sent from my iPad
about 6 1/8 on center apart....and 3/8 dowels. Ron
The rack has six 3/8” diameter pegs six inches apart center to center. The rack is 35” long, 1.5” high, and ¾” deep. The pegs are 3.5” long and are countersunk approximately 3/8” into the rack.
Pegs are 3/8" diameter and 6" apart center to center. Sent from my iPad
Peg diameter is 3/8". Distance between pegs is approximately 6" center-to-center.
The finished has been stained and sealed. The unfinished is bare wood.
with unfinished wood I can choose a different shade to stain it and match my decor or simply seal it in a clear sealer to keep it natural. Mike Warriner
The fifinished rack has lacquer applied and is ready to mount. A breeze to hang. It was ready to go and supports my bows and equipment perfectly. Ron Avid Traditional Archer
One is raw wood and one has a stain on it to make it look like furniture...I bought unfinished and got a small can from Home Depot of dark pecan or mahogany...wiped on with rag...let dry...and save yourself some money. Ron
I took a blow torch and burned the wood lightly until you could see the wood grains come out hope this helps
The unfinished kit requires you to stain and apply a top coat (or use an all-in-one product) that contains both. The finished wood requires no stain or sealer, you simply assemble it and put it on the wall.
The pegs on the bow rack kit extrude 3 3/8".
Hello Jeremy,The pegs are 3.25 inches long. Hope that helps you.
They are approximately 3 inches long once installed and provide plenty of room for hooking upper limb and string over, a side quiver, or other items. Ron
I measured the pegs on 2 of these racks. Length ranges from 3 3/16 to 3 5/16 inches. Good luck! Andres
They extend 3 1/8" once hammered into their holes. William
Not a problem. The wood is smooth so should not have any issue leaving it unfinished.
They measure 35" long.
