Beginnner found it easy to use
I decided to try fletching my own arrows rather than throw out good used shafts. The jig was easy to use with 5" right wing feathers. Got it right the first time. I have shot those arrows since and they are shooting fine.
Does the job
Simple design that fletches arrows. Nothing fancy and very affordable. Clamp sticks a bit but gets easier with a little lube on posts and use. Wax the clamp edge and excess glue comes off pretty easy. Not great for doing a bunch of arrows but great for a few and repairs.
AAE Fletch III jig GETS IT DONE!
I'm a recreational 3D Archer and this tool is great for setting up some new arrows or for fixing that vane/feather that gets trashed on the range! I love it.
Decent deal
Works just fine. Not very impressive in the quality department.
Yes
Works very well and priced right.
Nice little jig
i was not too sure about this jig because of the price, but after use i like it very much it is perfect for me it is a little on the light side but i can fix that.all in all like it very much and price is right
Nice fletching jig
Fast shipping and great products
Compact a and works fine
I've fletched hundreds of feathers and it works great for me. Breaks down easily into my tackle box. My only gripe is the posts are a bit tight going into the jig. I prepare a bunch of feathers with fletching tape and then when I need to, I can fletch an arrow in less time than it takes to write this review. It's really that fast and simple. I do flu flus on it as well, just need… read more to rotate the nock after three feathers. I wish it came with an end receptacle for four feathers, it would be even more useful.
Works as advertised
They're not kidding when they say "we recommend right wing feathers". It works with left wing, but it requires an excessive amount of cement to fill the gap between feather and shaft. I recommend applying some silicone lube to the moving parts.
Decent fletcher
This fletcher does everything that it is supposed to, but I learned on a bitzenburg, so this was a down grade. I like my feathers fairly far forward and this wasn't really designed to do that with 5" feathers, although it does work. There's nothing wrong with it, and if you are looking to fletch arrows on the cheap, or don't do a lot of arrows this is perfectly suitable. If you… read more do a lot of arrows I would have to recommend the bitzenburg dial-o-fletch( which I have since purchased from 3 Rivers)
Yes , this jig will work fine with 5" feathers without crowding the nock .
You can use either right wing or left wing feathers. The offset is in the right direction, but either wing will work.
It is recommended to use right wing feathers.
Yes it does a right helical twist.
Yes you can fletch flu flu feathers with this jig but will only be a 3 fletch.
Yes.
It would give you a four fletch but, with the wrong angles. It would give you a 120 x 60 four fletch. A 90 four fletch is where the feathers are exactly opposite. This is the most common. You will have to try to see if it comes out the way you want.
Yes, they will.
We do not stock any replacement parts for this fletcher.
I have not use feathers from a pheasant to fletch with, but this jig should work with most any feather.
The AAE Fletch 3 Fletcher can handle up to 5 - 5 1/2 inch feathers with out to much of a problem.
Ive gone up to 5" in it and Im pretty confident it will handle 5.5
Fletches 3 feathers in straight fletch
