This is a great product.
I use it to provide a hot clean flame for melting glue, or anything I dont want soot in.
Very satisfied with my new alcohol burner
Much nicer than my old burner. Off course it was 15 years+ old , full of hot melt and cap won't fit tite. The new shape is an improvement, less likely to tip over if accidentally hit.
Great tool
A must for arrow building!
Great tool!
Very easy to use. Works great with methylated spirits. No carbon on the points when warming them. Makes it easy to mount points and nocks with hot melt glue
Alcohol burner
It's an alcohol burner.
Very Efficient product
Good product I use it to glue points on XX75 Arrows and removing points when necessary.
Heat when you need it.
The young kids manage to break off many tips on the wood arrows.I can now taper and install a new tip at the club instead of bringing the arrows home, and they are back into shooting.
Just what I needed
Works just fine. I should of got one sooner.
This burner produces good steady flame
Using just a little wick, produces a good steady flame that does not produce black smoke. Too much wick and you will get black smoke and dancing flame.
Great product
what can i say, the speaks for itself
Denatured alcohol is recommended only for use in the burner and it works very well. Dipping in water works fine you will have to wipe the excess water although. A candle will work but it will take longer due to the lower heat range.
I've used 91% rubbing alcohol in same burner and it worked fine. Check your % alcohol, 70% alcohol may not work. I also bought denatured alcohol which should also work.
Yes it does have a cap.
No, but so long as the wick is barely exposed, which is how one wishes to run it, the fuel takes a long time to evaporate. The alcohol is really inexpensive anyway, especially when bought by the gallon at the paint store.
NEVER HAD THAT PROBLEM. I DID FIND THAT THE ALCOHOL WILL EVAPORATE THROUGH THE WICK PRETTY FAST. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT LITTLE TOOL.
This is a glass container.
Glass. -Todd
It is made of glass. The unit works quite well!
The burner reservoir is glass, top is metal, wick is fabric.

This comes with a wick
The alcohol burner comes with a wick. It is ready to be filled with fuel and used. Frank
Yes the wick is included. Just fill the container about 3/4 full with denatured alcohol, allow a little time for the wick to absorb it, and light it — you're good to go. Paul
Yes it does come with a wick and a cap to snuff the flame when finished.
Most hardware stores will carry it.

Yes the flame gets hot enough to heat the steel up and take off the points.
This burner will safely hold 3.5 ounces. It is recommended that you only use denatured alcohol with this burner.
The plastic top should just pop off. If it is not coming off you can send it back in and we will get you a new one.
Denatured alcohol should be available at any drugstore or super market. Normally in the first aid section.
Methyl alcohol works well, and it is commonly available and reasonably inexpensive almost anywhere in Canada, as lacquer thinner, fondue fuel, and gas-line antifreeze. It may be also labelled as "methylated spirits" (although this could denote regular denatured alcohol), "methyl hydrate" (the most common usage), or methanol.
