Arizona E-Z Fletch Pro Fletching Jig Reviews

It works... fast

Son of Liberty

Gave five stars, not because I think this is the greatest fletching jig ever, superior to all others, but because it was just what I was looking for. If you're the type to constantly feel the need to adjust your fletchings by 2 degrees, this probably isn't the jig I would suggest. I wanted something I could have in my pack that would get me back in the game quickly without much read more bulk or weight. This jig does exactly that. With a pouch of feathers precut and some glue, you have everything you need to put another arrow in the quiver in a couple minutes.

Not for feathers or fletching tape

This jig great in concept but difficult to use. It is designed for glue and plastic vanes. Feathers are too thick to fit easily thru the slots and takes a lot of extra effort. And, using fletching tape is next to impossible.

All my target arrows (Gold Tip Traditional) were showing major signs of wear and tear. In one relatively short sitting, I was able to refletch all 6 of them with the left helical Fletch-Pro. Much better accuracy and control than I got even from the Flex-Pro straight that this jig replaced. Works good on thicker carbon arrows (5/16), even though the advertising is a bit confusing, read more sounding like it is only for aluminum arrows.

Great product

This is by far the fastest jig I have used to fletch my arrows. I am satisfied with the results so far. It can be a little finicky to load 5" feathers in the arms sometimes, you just have to slide the feather back and forth until it seats. It's not a big deal to me though, i like the fact it's small enough to carry anywhere too.

Quick and easy to use jig

I hunt with compound and crossbow. My main use of this jig is refletching arrows for my crossbow. It allows me to use a right helical fletch with 2 inch vanes - accuracy and stability are awesome. Jig is quick and easy to use. I did find there is a small learning curve in getting the vanes aligned and becoming comfortable fletching arrows in quick succession. However, I am impatient read more with single fletch jigs and the Az fletcher is sooo much quicker. I have been very pleased with the results. It is also a great field tool for quick repairs. Need I say more? I have no difficulty giving this product a 5 star rating. While it may not please everyone it has a permanent place in my gear bag!

Easy to use

Makes fletching arrows a whole lot faster. It takes me 1/3 of the time to fletch a dozen arrows than it use to .

Not for me

Figured this would be a good jig for a beginner but there was way to much slop in the pivots and the fletchings would be miss aligned. The top bushing did not fit snugly and would not keep the fletching tight to the shaft. Replaced it with a Bohning pro class for less money and much better results.

This is the worst jig I have ever used,

very difficult to load, feathers constantly slipping out, spend more time trying to adjust the feathers, could have done it with my single jig in half the time and better results!

Good tool for some people

Overall, this can be a good tool, but there are a few details that a prospective buyer should be aware of, and I don't think these have been made clear in the advertisements or the other reviews. On the positive side, this can be a very effective tool to quickly fletch arrows. One warning is that the advertisement does not make it clear that there are two versions of this jig; read more - one for carbon arrows (5/16" diameter and smaller) and one for aluminum arrows (5/16 diameter and larger). I dont' know if both are available here, but I received the aluminum arrow version. This was no problem for me because I dont' use diameters smaller than 5/16". So, luckily I got the right one. Another warning is that this jig does not allow you do change the distance of the fletching from the nock, and the placement is quite far forward. It is forward of where 3rivers will place them if you have them fletch arrows for you (and their placement is preferable to what this jig does, in my opinion). If you don't mind a little bit forward placement, no problem. If you do mind and if you have removable nocks, then you can make an extra long nock to place the feathers wherever you want. I did this and it works well. Another warning is that I don't think this works well with the new fletching tape that is available. It is difficult to position the feathers well as you close the unit and clamp it up. With glue, it can slide back into position, but with tape great care is needed to make it work well. Also, with tape, there is no real benefit of having a "3 feathers at once" jig because there is no drying time. So, if these issues are considered and are not a problem, this can be a decent jig. But, I ending up buying a Blitz after I ran into these problems. I still use this one when glueing, with my nock adapter, with carbon arrows, but I prefer the Blitz with fletching tape, on aluminum arrows. My actual rating of this product is about 3.5 stars, so feel free to round up to 4 stars if the above mentioned issues do not seem significant to you.

I'm shooting xx75 shafts, will the Easy Fletch work with 2016-2117 shafts? Does L or R mean helical as well as wing? I also assume this would work for 5" feathers as well as vanes?

Yes, the E-Z Fletch Pro would work great for those size of arrows. The L and R stands for helical and wing. The 5" fletching size will fit the clamps great, no matter the material.

It is up to you as it really does not matter if you use right or left wing feathers. Left is the most common though.

It is a matter of opinion with alot of archers some will say left wing some will say right wing. I am a right handed shooter like you. I have tried both and I went with left wing fletching. It is consistent and with the helical twist it doesn't hug the bow on release. It holds on the shelf just a bit gets around the bow and straightens out beautifully. Just my opinion bit works for me.

To be honest, it doesn't matter whether you shoot left or right 6 years ago

To be honest, it doesn't matter whether you shoot left or right wing feathers. If you talk to some old timers, they will say if your a right handed shooter, you need to shoot left wing feather so the arrow spins away from the riser. After lots of testing by lots of people, results show it doesn't matter. Just make sure if you buy left wing jig, you get left wing feathers and visa versa. Hope this clears things up.

The Epics are 9/32 abd the Arizona E-Z Fletch is for carbon and wood shafts 5/16" to 26/64". I would not recommend the Arizona E-Z fletch, but would look into the Bitzenberger fletchers.

I have not noticed any ability to rotate the nocking locator in relation to the fletching arms. The rate of helical is not adjustable on this fletching tool but is my favorite of any I have used. I plan on buying a couple more to speed up my fletching of arrows when doing a dozen or two at one time. Ron
