Great idea, poor design
The whole idea is great, kudos to whom ever dreamt it up, however the builder is making it on a lower level than the thinker intended, it seems.
A Little over priced
I felt for all that it intails , it was a bit over priced at over [$]. I had made a similar planing board myself from scrape lumber that works a bit better. I could NOT keep the blade from slipping loose without modifing it myself. All in all it works very well.
Wonderful Tool
It is worth every penny. I planed out some some shafts and made some nice small game arrows for jackrabbits out of 3/8" poplar squares the first week I got this tool. 3 of them spined out to about 55# and a small black and white fletched arrow with an adaptable head spined at 60# for my shortbow. yes when the blade has become worn you will need to by the complete plane
The fixture for holding the shaft is 28 inches long but you can do a much longer shaft just by flipping the shaft end for end to plain arrows longer than 28 inches long.

We do not have any replacement planes for this system.
It is all manual. There is nothing electronic on the Arrow Shaft Plane.
