Easy to use even for a beginner
I used this for the first time today. It was easy to set up and relatively easy to use. I've never fletched before nor have I used another jig so I don't have a comparison but it worked well and was easy to adjust. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the clamp was almost too short for the 5 1/2" feathers I was using. Otherwise I only had problems because of my inexperience.… read more After the first couple of arrows both the jig and I worked smoothly and accurately.
No
It looks good but i classify it as a little better than junk.
Excellent Fletching Jig
It's well made, plastic + aluminium, It has different options, angles and fletching configurations, a little expensive if you buy another clamp. But it's a Really good product I recommend it.
Good reliable product
Easy to use and get consistent results lots of adjustments available have only used jig as it comes out of the box so far.
Do not buy!
Not consistent, doesn't seat glue on the full length of arrow/feather
It Works Just Fine
Yeah its Plastic, but it is built well and works just fine. My first time ever Fletching arrows and I done a dozen in two hours with Fletch tape and this jig. Done another half dozen, 6 fletch Flu- Flu in about an hour and a half. I like that you can dial in your degrees and add stops at the degrees you want, or what it recommends in the instructions. Once you set it up ( trust… read more your eyeballs) because the instructions are minimal, it is a breeze to use arrow after arrow. Its not a Biztenburger, but you should get your moneys worth from it.
First Fletcher
I have been looking at several different jigs and was told about the BPE. It was easy to set up and index. I have fletched 2 dozen arrows so far and it works really well. My only drawback is its made from plastic ( I would prefer a metal ). No complaints and another dozen coming soon.
A-1 jig , my arrows spin like bullets
This is an excellent jig. My arrows fly straighter due to the helical fletching. More instructions are probably needed for those people who unlike myself, are not electromechanical technicians and used to dealing with complex mechanisms as I am. My job is to develop jigs and fixtures for industrial applications, so the lack of implicit instructions were not a problem for me, but… read more might be for others.
A no brainer
After a quick read of the directions I was shocked to see how professional my arrows looked. It is very versatile this product is I even fletched flu flu feathers.
I like this fletching jig, easy set up!
Fletching was easy to set up and very consistent with all types of fletching and arrows.
These models relate to the angle you are fletching. The left wing is to be paired with left wing feathers, right wing with right, and straight can do both, but normally done with right wing feathers. If using vanes, all work, just offset of the fletch.
If you look at the back of the feather and the quill is on the right side it's a left wing , if it is on the left side it is a right wing.
When I started shooting traditional, I was told left wing for right handed shooters and right wing for left handed shooters. It has always worked well for me.
I prefer the Bitzenburger. It is easy to use and metal so it should last forever.
Yes you should have no issue fletching 23/64 wood shaft with the BPE Pro-fletching jig.
I prefer the Bitzenberger, It is easier to adjust and work with versus the BPE
You can use almost any size feathers in this jig. It can do 3 and 4 fletch.
Yes it will.
Yes this will work with 5 inch fletching.
This will not accept half inch shafts.
If you want a straight fletch, there is an option to select a straight fletching jig.
