I have had this for several years now and have made many dozens of arrows with this product, and have found it to be perfect for the home application. For mass production not a good method.

With the compression block you will chuck it up in a vice and with a constant flame on the block with a torch you will then spin the shaft through the hole with a drill. The compression block will take your rounded arrow shafts and make them a size smaller. 23/64 will be 11/32 and 11/32 shaft will turn to 5/16. compressing a shaft will make it around 5 pounds weaker.

Asked by Travis 3 years ago

Can the compression block be used for making tail or barrel tapered shafts, rather than removing material from the shafts to creat the tapers? Or is it intended solely for compressing the entire length of the shaft?

It is intended for compressing the whole shaft. 3 years ago
