Difficult to figure out the first time you use it.

This tool makes handling inserts easy. No worries about contact with hot glue or fumbling with ill fitting pliers.

Does what it should. Handle is comfortable, threaded shaft is the right length, and its long enough to keep your knuckles away for the heat and give a little torque.

Not only do I use it for setting my inserts, but I use it to extract inserts that some archers have lost while pulling the shaft from an ill shot arrow (i.e. in a piece of wood at the practice range). Good versatile tool.

Made it real easy to warm up the insert before adding the melted glue. In cold weather I like to heat the insert before melting the glue to add to the tip. Helps it stay softer longer in cool weather. This tool made that much easier than using a pair of needle nose pliers. Nice addition to the arrow building tool kit.

Wonderful tool. Much better than using pliers. Provides needed leverage to install inserts. Must use adequate heat for preparation prior to use. Takes firm push to start inserts.

Beginer or Pro It doesn't matter. It does exactly what it's designed to do. No frills for added cost. Easy grip handle for those with a touch of arthritis and just the right length. Remember to constantly keep it clean of glues and adhesives after each use and it will probably last you a lifetime.

bought this tool to use building aluminum arrows. has been perfect for my set up and is always handy and ready for use. Works great when removing old inserts.

I wasn't too sure about this tool before ordering it, but now I don't know how I ever got along without it. It sure simplifies gluing in inserts. No more burned fingers!! Now all we need is a tool for hot gluing Uni-bushings.
