Great clamp works as it should
Product works well but needs better inst
The Bohning jig is a nice value but switching clamps for left and right wing feathers is made vary difficult by the lack of instruction. There is no documentation provided, either with the jig or on the website, that helps you with the settings for aligning the clamps.
Great Products Great Services
Product arrived ahead of schedule and was just what I ordered.
Old fiathfull
'Bought my Bohning fletching jig 8 years ago couldn't Imagin how many arrows i fletched with it . From woods .carbon and alloys very versatile and durable . to be honest there was not much wrong with the old clamp besides looking a little tired and a little bit of meat gone off the edge off the clamp from scraping off the glue . so I hope to get another 8 years or more out… read more of this new one.
Quick and Easy
I have used the left hand and straight fletch tools and just got some right hand feathers given to me and ordered the right hand tool. Good product and easy to take when packed up for hunting trip.
Yes as long as you have the matching clamp to the feather you will be fine.
Yes it cac use both left and right clamps with the same jig.
Yes, the clamps work well with the jig... I ordered a left wing clamp and was able to use without issue on my existing Bohning jig.
Yes absolutely. Left right or straight. The left and right clamps are a helix but honestly I don't think they are necessary because with the straight clamp you can adjust the jig for a left or right spin. And you can get right much angle on it. I started with just a straight. I bought a left helical clamp thinking ot would be better since I've gone back to a 55# recurve but honestly can't tell any difference. Either way it's a good jig! Rub paraffin wax on your clamp to make excess glue removal easy and especially if using feathers use a super glue gel. The thin stuff tends to run down into the feathers while you have it upside down in the clamp applying the glue. I like the gorila super glue gel. As long as I've waxed my clamp so it doesn't stick I can put a feather on count to 10 unclamp it rotate the jig and put another one on. If you really wanna speed things up have two clamps. You can be lining a feather up in the clamp and applying glue while the first one dries. Still need to let the glue cure overnight though
Yes as long as you have the matching clamp to the feather you will be fine.
We no longer carry the older model so there is no guarantee it will work. But being of the same brand and look it should.

Yes it will give you a helical.
Yes, vanes should be no problem if using feathers you must use right wing feathers with the right wing clamp.
Yes, you will be able to fletch 1/4 dowels with this jig. You will want to be extra careful that everything lines up.
They are going to determine the helical of the fletching. A straight clamp will be straight. And the left and right need to be used with the corresponding feather. They will put a twist on the feather.
