Replacement Clamp for BPE Pro Fletcher Reviews

You can upgrade an AF-1 BPE Straight Fletch to a Helical

Tom B.

A little awkward until you get used to using it. Requires moving the clamp base so mark your previous straight fletch position.

I use the left wing clamp on my wooden arrows used for lonngbow, I was looking for a clamp and jig that would put some serious helical twist on my feathers and was impressed.

Easy enough for the average archer to use with accurate results.

BPE Pro Right Wing Fletching Clamp

Works as advertised - right wing helical clamp. About the only thing that would make it perfect would be for the clamps to have a lower edge with a non-stick surface. I can deal with the clamps the way they are, though. I like the fletcher that this goes to. It sets up easy and no need for additional nock receivers that have to be found. The fletcher is capable of most common read more three and four fletch set ups. I bought this right wing helical to add to the clamp that came with it - straight / offset.

Entire jig is of high quality.

BPE fletchers are very well crafted and are highly adjustable; more so than even the Bitz, in my opinion. Downside is they are made of composite and instant glue does not remove easily if you get some on it. String wax on the jig edges help prevent this. Straight fletch can be as accurate as helical or off-set if tuned properly for trad or modern archery. The con is it is harder read more to tune, the Pro is it makes for a exceptionally quiet arrow in flight. Straight fletch should really be left to the more experienced archer.

When you are looking from the nock end of the arrow check for the "catch lip" of the feather quill. If it goes to the right of the feather it is a Left Wing feather. If it goes to the left, then it is a right wing feather. I hope this is of some help.
