Best hand taper tool I've ever used. Blades are very sharp and give a nice even taper. The blades last for a long time, but if your making a lot of arrows its a good idea to have a new set of blades when needed.

This tool was the best purchase for the tapers on my wooden shafts. I make my own arrows from a variety of woods and this helps me in the process. Makes the job faster & simple.

This tapper tool works very well. If you're building arrows for yourself and not in heavy production, this is the tool for you. The blades are very sharp and do a fantastic job at tapering.

I am making my own target arrows from oak, ash, pine , black walnut, and douglas fir so far, and I am installing glue on points. I have had no trouble using this tool to shape for the points, and I am not mass producing arrows . As to how the various ways there are to purchase extra blades, I just bought an extra set to go along with my taper tool and receivced six of each size. read more Hope this helps Don

If you have the old style it will take the longer blades. I ordered the wrong ones and had to return them. Contact 3 Rivers before ordering. I guess I got confused about what model I have. I just checked again and I'm still confused about what model I have. Measure the blades and then order. Bill

Sorry. I don't know the answer to your question. Have you contacted 3 rivers? They're very helpful. If you get in a jam, try the less expensive, plastic disposable model. I find it works better than the tru-center taper tool, whose blades need adjusting and replacement. I figure I'll just use it till I can't, then throw it away.
